At The Skin Scientist, we strive to provide high-quality services and products to all our clients. However, we understand that situations may arise where a refund, store credit, or voucher is requested. Please review our refund policies carefully to ensure clarity regarding cancellations, treatment plans, and product purchases.
1. No Refund for Services Rendered
a. Services: Once a treatment has been completed, no refunds will be provided for the service, regardless of the outcome or satisfaction. This includes any treatments performed during a session, such as facials, injectables, or skin therapies.
2. Store Credit and Vouchers
a. Store Credit/Vouchers: Any store credit or vouchers purchased are valid for one year from the date of issuance. After this period, store credit or vouchers will expire and cannot be redeemed or refunded.
b. Non-Transferable: Store credit or vouchers are non-transferable and can only be used by the person who purchased or received them. They can be redeemed for services or products within the validity period.
3. Cancellation of Treatment Plans
a. Cancellation After Commencement: If you wish to cancel a treatment plan after it has already commenced and some sessions have been completed and some payments have been made, the sessions that have been completed will be calculated at full price, and any payments made will be applied to cover the costs of those completed sessions.
b. Outstanding Payments: If there are any outstanding payments for completed sessions, these must be settled in full at the time of cancellation.
c. Remaining Balance: After covering the cost of completed sessions, any remaining balance that has been paid from your treatment plan will be converted into store credit, which can be used for other services or products within one year of cancellation. We cannot refund this amount. If the remaining balance is not redeemed within that year, it will expire.
4. Product Returns and Change of Mind
a. No Refund for Change of Mind: We do not accept returns or offer refunds for products purchased in-store due to a change of mind. Please carefully review the product before purchase and consult with our staff if you have any questions about suitability for your skin type or needs.
b. Defective Products: In the case of defective or damaged products, please contact us within 2 business days of purchase. We will evaluate the issue and provide a resolution, which may include a replacement or store credit.
5. Deposits
a. Non-Refundable Deposits: Deposits made to secure appointments are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation or no-show. Deposits will be applied toward the total cost of the service or treatment but are forfeit if an appointment is missed without proper notice. The deposit will be held for one year and after this, will be unredeemable.
6. Rescheduling Fees
a. If you need to reschedule your appointment and do so within the 48-hour notice period, there will be no charge. However, if you reschedule within 48 hours of your appointment, a rescheduling fee may apply.
7. General Terms
a. Refunds will be processed according to the policies outlined above. If requested, we will assess the situation and based on individual circumstances offer a solution.
b. Refund Process: Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7–14 business days depending on the method of payment and the nature of the refund.
Amendments to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify, update, or change these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date. You are encouraged to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes. Your continued use of our services after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
