Pricing, Payments, and Taxes

Payment Plans
At The Skin Scientist, we offer clients the option to pay for certain treatments and services through a structured payment plan.
- Payment Plan Agreement: When you choose to purchase a treatment plan and select to pay in installments, you and The Skin Scientist will agree upon a payment schedule. This agreement will outline the total cost of your treatment plan, the amount and due dates of each installment, and the duration of the plan. The agreed-upon installment amounts must be paid on time as per the schedule.
- Failure to Pay: Should you fail to make a scheduled payment on time, The Skin Scientist reserves the right to pause or halt your treatment plan until the outstanding balance is paid. No further treatments will be provided until the balance payment has been received in full.
- Cancellation of Plan: If you commence a treatment plan but fail to make communication or arrangements for the remaining sessions within 12 months (1 year) from the start of the plan, the treatment plan will be automatically cancelled. No treatments will be provided after cancellation. You may be required to repay any outstanding amounts before re-entering into a new treatment plan or booking additional services. - Changes to Payment Plan: Any changes to the payment schedule must be agreed upon in writing by both parties before they can be implemented. If you wish to modify the payment plan or change the installment amounts, you must contact our clinic in advance to discuss the options available.
Product Sales In-Store
All products sold by The Skin Scientist are available for purchase only at our clinic. Products may not be available for sale on our website or through other online channels.
- Product Selection: We offer a selection of skincare products that complement our treatments. These products are available in-store and have been selected based on their quality and suitability for our treatments.

- No Refund for Change of Mind: We regret to inform you that we do not accept returns or provide refunds for products purchased in-store for change of mind. - Defective Products: In the case of defective or damaged products, please contact us within 2 business days of purchase. We will evaluate the issue and provide a resolution as appropriate, which may include a replacement or store credit.

Late Arrival, Cancellation, and No Show Policies
1. Late Arrival Policy:
a. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, it will be considered a missed appointment.
b. If you arrive late before the 15-minute mark, your session will proceed with whatever time is remaining, and you will be charged in full for the original appointment duration.
c. After a courtesy call, if you fail to show, your appointment will be cancelled, and your deposit will be non-refundable.
2. Appointment Confirmation:
a. You will receive a text message confirming your appointment 72 hours before your scheduled time, allowing for a 48-hour cancellation period.
b. It is your responsibility to reply within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation message to either confirm or decline your session.
c. Failure to respond to the confirmation message will result in automatic cancellation of your appointment and a cancellation fee.
3. No Show Policy:
a. If you fail to show up for your appointment, you will be charged a no-show fee equivalent to the cost of the booked treatment. Additionally, you will be required to pay a fee before booking again.
4. Repeated No Show Policy:
a. If you miss your appointment without notice on three separate occasions, you will be automatically removed from the booking system.
5. Cancellation Policy:
a. If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of your scheduled treatment time, you will incur a cancellation fee or forfeit your deposit.
6. Rescheduling Policy:
a. Appointments can be rescheduled up to 48 hours before the scheduled time without penalty, subject to availability. Clients on a treatment plan can reschedule their appointment up to two times with no penalty within the 48-hour notice period. The third rescheduling request will result in the loss of one session from your treatment plan.
7. Deposits:
a. Deposits are required to secure appointments and are non-refundable in the event of late arrival or cancellation. The deposit will be held for one year and after this, will be unredeemable.
8. Treatment Duration:
a. Please arrive promptly for your appointment to ensure you receive the full duration of your treatment.
9. Special Circumstances:
a. We understand that emergencies can arise. Please contact us as soon as possible if you encounter any unforeseen circumstances that may affect your appointment.
10. Safety:
a. Please ensure you arrive alone to your session, as we cannot accommodate guests during the treatment time. Additionally, it is important not to bring children to the clinic as medical procedures take place, and safety hazards do exist.
