Skin Peels
Peels are professional exfoliating treatments that use controlled acids to dissolve dull, damaged surface cells and accelerate healthy cellular turnover. Our clinic offers a wide range of peel strengths and formulations to suit all skin types, concerns, and downtime preferences, revealing smoother, clearer, more radiant skin.
Circadia Chemical Peel Systems are formulated to accelerate skin exfoliation, revealing a brighter, more radiant complexion by removing surface proteins and promoting cellular turnover.
Our peel menu ranges from gentle gel-based peels to more intensive ethanol-based peels, catering to a variety of skin concerns and tolerance levels:
- Gel-Based Peels: Gentle yet highly effective, these peels are well-tolerated with minimal to no downtime. Flaking or peeling is typically not expected, making them ideal for sensitive or first-time peel clients.
- Ethanol Advanced Peels: Designed for those seeking moderate to deeper exfoliation, these peels provide more pronounced peeling and renewal, targeting stubborn texture, pigmentation, and signs of aging.
This tiered approach allows for customizable treatments tailored to each client’s skin type, condition, and desired results.
Circadia integrates chronobiology — the science of the skin’s circadian rhythm — into every formulation. This means each professional peel is designed to:
- Support the skin’s natural healing cycles
- Minimise irritation
- Maintain barrier integrity
- Maximise cell repair and regeneration
Circadia’s peels work synergistically with its renowned enzyme therapies, masks, and specialised treatments to create results-driven, fully customised treatment plans.
Chemical peels are professional resurfacing treatments that use controlled acid solutions to remove dull, damaged, or uneven surface skin, stimulating deeper regeneration and renewal.
Circadia’s chemical peels are layer-dependent, allowing customised intensity based on how many layers are applied, and are self-neutralising, meaning they deactivate on their own without the need for a traditional neutralising solution.
These treatments provide predictable, targeted results and can be customised to individual skin concerns and tolerance levels.
They are designed to improve skin texture, tone, clarity, and target concerns such as pigmentation, breakouts, fine lines, and signs of sun damage.

Circadia Gel Peels are a unique category of controlled, surface-level chemical exfoliation formulated in a gentle gel-based delivery system rather than a traditional liquid solution. This gel format allows for:
- Slower, more controlled penetration
- Reduced irritation and inflammation
- Even application and consistent results
- Enhanced comfort for sensitive or reactive skin
Circadia’s gel peels are time-controlled treatments, meaning their intensity is determined by how long they remain on the skin, and they are professionally neutralised in-clinic to ensure a safe, precise, and comfortable exfoliation.
These peels are ideal entry-level options for clients new to chemical exfoliation, those who prefer a more comfortable experience, or those with sensitivities, rosacea tendencies, or impaired skin barriers.

- Jessner Peel
Contains 14% lactic acid + 14% salicylic acid + 14% resorcinol. This medium‑depth peel accelerates exfoliation by dissolving dead surface cells and stimulating turnover. It is effective for improving skin texture, reducing pigmentation, sun damage, acne scarring, and uneven tone. Visible peeling typically occurs about 3–4 days post‑treatment.
- MandeliClear Peel
A blend of 9% mandelic acid + 7% lactic acid + 7% salicylic acid + 7% resorcinol. This peel offers effective pigmentation correction and tone‑evening, working more gently than stronger peels due to mandelic acid’s slower penetration. It reduces post‑inflammatory hyperpigmentation, melasma, and acne‑related pigmentation. The peel can be paired with Circadia’s Vitamin A Accelerator for enhanced renewal.
- Vitamin A Accelerator (Retinol-based Booster)
Contains 2.5% retinol. Used alone or paired with peels such as MandeliClear, it enhances cellular turnover and stimulates collagen and elastin production, improving fine lines, uneven tone, and photo-damage. It accelerates skin renewal from within while supporting skin structure and resilience.
- DermaFrost Peel (Salicylic Acid 12.5–25%)
A beta‑hydroxy acid (BHA) peel using 12.5% or 25% salicylic acid. This peel is designed to deeply penetrate oily or congested pores to dissolve sebum, clear blockages, and reduce inflammation. It works well for acne, oily/congested skin, rough or calloused texture, pigmentation issues, and early signs of photo‑aging. Exfoliation and renewal are strong, and it’s self-neutralising.
- Alpha/Beta Peel (Gel-based, Lactic + Salicylic Acid)
A gentler gel-based peel combining AHAs and BHAs (common: 30% lactic + 10% salicylic, or 40% lactic + 15% salicylic). The salicylic acid penetrates pores to dissolve sebum, clear congestion, and reduce inflammation, making it ideal for acne‑prone or oily skin. The lactic acid gently exfoliates the surface, improves hydration, softens texture, and brightens skin tone.
This balanced peel provides surface exfoliation plus pore-level renewal, offering smoother, brighter skin, improved clarity, and refreshed texture without aggressive peeling — ideal for mild pigmentation, mild texture issues, or maintenance.
- Lactic Peel (Gel-based)
Available in 30%, 35%, or 45% lactic acid concentrations in Circadia’s peel range. This gentle surface peel loosens the bonds between dead skin cells to promote desquamation, improves hydration by boosting glycosaminoglycans (natural moisturisers), softens texture, brightens tone, strengthens barrier function and is suitable for most skin types including mature, dry and sensitive clients looking for mild resurfacing, improved radiance and reduced pigmented/dull skin.
Herbal peels are advanced, plant-based resurfacing treatments that use natural herbs, minerals, enzymes, and spicules (microscopic needle-like structures derived from fresh water plants) to stimulate deep skin renewal.
This spicule-based bio-stimulatory treatment is designed to activate the skin’s natural regeneration process rather than chemically dissolving the skin like traditional acid peels.
Herbal peels are massage-time dependent, meaning the longer and deeper the spicules are worked into the skin, the more intensely they penetrate — resulting in increased stimulation, deeper desquamation, and more noticeable shedding during the skin renewal process.
When massaged into the skin, they penetrate the epidermal layers, creating controlled micro-channels and mechanical stimulation.
A herbal peel treatment is equivalent to the combination of microneedling AND a chemical peel, making it an advanced yet highly safe alternative for effective skin rejuvenation.
How They Work
- Mechanical Micro-Stimulation
The spicules create thousands of micro-injuries that the skin interprets as a signal to repair itself. This stimulates keratinocyte turnover and accelerates the shedding of damaged, compacted skin cells. - Increased Microcirculation & Oxygenation
The physical stimulation boosts blood flow and oxygen delivery to the tissue, improving cellular metabolism and nutrient exchange. This is why the skin often appears flushed and warm immediately after treatment. - Inflammatory Cascade Activation (Controlled)
The micro-stimulation triggers a controlled inflammatory response, releasing growth factors and cytokines that promote fibroblast activity, collagen support, and skin renewal. - Barrier Reorganisation & Skin Thickening
Unlike acid peels that thin the epidermis, herbal peels help improve epidermal integrity over time. The skin responds by rebuilding stronger, more organised layers, leading to improved resilience and texture. - Continued Action Over Time
Spicules remain active within the skin for up to 48–72 hours, continuing to stimulate renewal from within. This delayed action explains why results continue to evolve over several days, including light peeling or desquamation.
Benefits
- Reduces hyperpigmentation, post-inflammatory marks, melasma, and sun spots
- Minimizes active acne, congestion, and enlarged pores
- Fades fine lines, wrinkles, and acne or trauma-related scars
- Tightens and firms the skin while boosting radiance
- Deeply nourishes, hydrates, and soothes sensitive or inflamed skin
